We want the order of practices in the directory to be fair and easy to understand. The organic result list therefore follows a fixed, transparent principle — not the highest bid.
Fair daily rotation
Within the same plan tier the order is deterministically reshuffled every day. Over time every practice gets the same average position — nobody stays on top just because their name starts with “A”. The order is stable within a day (so paging works) and changes daily.
Plan weighting
Practices on a paid plan rank organically above free listings. Within each tier the fair daily rotation applies again. Paid visibility improves the position compared to free listings, but never undermines fairness among equally ranked practices.
Search & radius
As soon as you search by place, postcode or radius, relevance or distance decides — the closest or best-matching practice comes first, regardless of the plan.
Sponsored listings
Paid highlights (sponsored) are always clearly labelled as such and kept separate from the organic directory.
